Our family just loves French Fries. They are such a versatile side dish, and can be served with any type of meal. Of course, these fries are so good, you will want to serve them with every meal.

What you need to make French Fries in the Air Fryer

I make these French Fries almost every week. They usually get eaten faster than I can make them. I love how they turn out so crispy in my Cosori 5.8 Quart Air Fryer. More importantly, I definitely love how crispy they are, without the grease. Besides an air fryer, all you will need to make these fries is:

Of course, any additional seasonings or sauces, are up to you! We like to dip them in Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, or ketchup.

How to make Air Fryer French Fries

To make these French Fries, you really only have to follow a few steps. To get started, peel and wash the potatoes. I usually use 3-4 medium Russet Potatoes. Once they are peeled, slice them into strips, about ½ inch in thickness. Next, place the potato slices into a medium bowl, and add cold water until they are submerged. Let them soak in the water for at least 30 minutes, but if you can wait an hour or two, that will be even better. Soaking the potatoes removes the starch, which helps them become crispy when they cook. You don’t want to skip soaking them, or they may come out soft or soggy. Then add the olive oil to the fries, tossing them until they have all been lightly coated with oil. Next, place half of the fries in the air fryer basket, without having them touch or overlap. Air fry at 380 degrees Fahrenheit for about 14 minutes, tossing halfway through cooking. You can add an additional minute or two, depending on your preferred crispness. Repeat the cooking process with the second half of the batch. If you’re cooking them from frozen, you can read this post on how to make frozen french fries in the air fryer.
