INSTRUCTIONS
Oven Instructions
Preheat the oven to 180C / 350F and line a baking tray with parchment / baking paper.
Place almonds into a mixing bowl, then pour over honey and mix well to combine.
Spread almonds out onto the baking tray in a single layer and sprinkle salt over the top.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, giving them a good stir after the first 5 minutes. Your almonds are ready when the colour is a few shades darker and they smell fragrant. Be careful to monitor them closely so they don’t burn.
Remove from the oven and then transfer to a plate or baking sheet immediately. Sprinkle white sugar on top and allow to cool completely.
Air Fryer Instructions
Place almonds into a mixing bowl, then pour over honey and mix well to combine.
Place parchment or baking paper in the bottom of the air fryer basket, then spread almonds out on the paper in a single layer and sprinkle salt over the top.
Cook on 180C / 350F for 7-10 minutes, giving the almonds a good shake every few minutes, until they are a few shades darker and smell fragrant. Be careful to monitor them closely so they don’t burn.
Transfer to a plate or baking sheet immediately. Sprinkle white sugar on top and allow to cool completely.
TOP TIPS
Watch your almonds closely as they cook. They can burn very easily. It’s ok if your almonds are a little soft as soon as you take them out of the oven. You’ll find after 5 minutes of cooling they will be firm again. Don’t put the almonds in an airtight jar or containers until they are fully cooled.Feel free to make more than one cup of almonds, just ensure they all fit on a single layer on the baking tray or cook on two baking trays.
