That’s why it’s a breakfast that tastes best when freshly baked. With the right recipe and ingredients, quiche is a big hit with the family, and it’s rare that there are any leftovers! But if you have a few slices left or if you’ve baked it in advance, you’ll want to reheat your quiche the right way to keep those wonderful fluffy and flaky textures. Whether you’re reheating quiche straight from the fridge, or it’s been stored in the freezer, here are all the ways to warm up your quiche!

How to Reheat Quiche in the Oven

With baked dishes, the oven is always the best way to reheat. This might take a bit longer than microwaving, but your quiche will taste like it’s freshly cooked! The oven is also good for several slices of quiche or even a whole large quiche. There’s lots of space, plus it will warm up evenly. Here’s how to reheat quiche in the oven.

How to Reheat Quiche in the Microwave

If you really can’t wait any longer for that decadent slice of quiche, you can also use a microwave. This is perfect for heating single slices or mini quiches. The microwave makes food soggy after reheating, but the secret is in the power setting! For your delicate quiche, you’ll want to use low to medium heat. Follow these steps to reheat your quiche in the microwave… without making it soggy or drying out the eggs!

How to Reheat Quiche in the Toaster Oven

Not a fan of the microwave, but need to reheat a few slices of quiche? You can also use a toaster oven. This is like using a regular oven. You won’t have to worry about your crust getting moist like in the microwave. Plus, because it’s so small, it won’t take too long to preheat. Reheat quiche slices in the toaster by following these steps.

How to Reheat Frozen Quiche

All these methods are great for chilled quiche. But if you have frozen quiche, reheating will be slightly different and will take a bit longer.  Use the oven to make sure the heat distributes evenly. Covering your slices of quiche with foil will also help prevent them from overcooking or burning. Here’s how to reheat frozen quiche. No need for thawing!

How to Properly Store Quiche

Quiche is a dish that reheats quite well, especially if you use the methods mentioned above. If you want to keep it fresh and ready to be warmed up, proper storage is very important! There are two ways to store quiche if you want to keep them longer than a day: chilled in the fridge or frozen in the freezer. To store quiche in the fridge, let it cool down to room temperature after baking and wrap tightly in a plastic wrap. You can also use aluminum foil, but I find that plastic wrap is better at keeping any unwanted moisture out. Storing a whole quiche in the fridge is great if you know you’ll be having guests over in the next few days. You can simply take it out of the refrigerator, unwrap, and follow the steps mentioned above for reheating in an oven. If you have leftover slices, you can place each slice in a resealable plastic bag. Chilled quiche, whether whole or in slices, will last 3 to 4 days. You can also freeze your quiche. Wrap it the same way as you would for chilling and then place in a freezer-safe container for extra protection. Frozen quiche will last up to 3 months when frozen, but it loses its flavor after a month and the eggs might become rubbery. It’s best to consume it within one month. So there you have it!
